HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla.— If you are looking for a 'furr-ever' friend to join your family, now is the time to adopt one.

The Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center will waive all pet fees for cats or dogs between June 26 and July 3.

The fees are being waved as part of a national movement to adopt 10,000 pets in 10 days. The movement comes at the beginning of summer, which shelter officials said was usually a time in the year when pet shelter populations balloon.

You can view hundreds of adoptable pets on the shelter’s website. Adoptions have to be done in person, though. The center is located at 440 N. Falkenburg Rd. in Tampa. It's open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day except Monday. Call 813-744-5660 to reach the facility.

Below are just a few of the friendly faces waiting to meet you!
