Cher is one of the biggest artists of her generation, so it’s no surprise that she’s worth a whopping $360 million. But the future of her fortune is reportedly causing concern amongst her two children, especially since the singer is apparently keen on leaving some of her wealth to her much-younger boyfriend.

Cher is currently dating music producer Alexander “AE” Edwards, who’s 37 years old –a whole four decades younger than the singer, who is 77. The pair apparently first met in September 2022 at Paris Fashion Week, before going public as a couple the following year.

Even though she has a reputation for dating younger men, AE is significantly younger than Cher’s sons – Chaz Bono, 54, and Elijah Blue Allman, 47. One report claims that Cher’s sons are worried AE is using her for fame and fortune, and that she’s falling for it.

Speaking to Radar Online, a source claims that it’s possible Alexander could inherit Cher’s entire fortune if they get married and she chooses him as her sole beneficiary.

This appears even more likely, given that Cher reportedly cut both of her sons out of her will recently (though Cher hasn’t confirmed the claim).

While her boys are reportedly worried about the possibility, not everyone close to Cher is concerned. The source said that her friends believe in Cher’s decision to leave her wealth to whomever she chooses, even her much-younger boyfriend.

"It’s her money, and she has worked her b*** off since she was a teenager to amass it. It’s her right to leave whatever she wants to whoever she wants,” the source said while quoting one of Cher’s friends.

Cher has also defended her age gap with Alexander, writing on Twitter earlier this year, “He’s 36 & in the end he came after me, till we met in the middle. He’s the consistent one, I’m the skittish one. We love each other… Ladies never give up.”

Cher isn’t the only high-profile woman Alexander has been linked to. He previously dated Amber Rose, with whom he shares a son. AE has a reported net worth of $2 million.

Cher’s sons haven’t commented on allegations that they have a problem with AE. But the singer has been in a public feud with her younger son and his estranged wife, after Cher was accused of kidnapping Allman in order to intervene in his marriage, a claim the singer has directly denied.
