Jeffrey Probst was born on November 4, 1962. The Kansas and Washington-raised personality is best known for his role as the host of the reality show Survivor.
Probst attended Seattle Pacific University and began his career working as a producer and narrator at Boeing Motion Picture/Television. In addition to the Survivor franchise, Probst has hosted and appeared on shows such as Backchat, Jeopardy!, MADtv, I Get That A Lot and Access Hollywood. He also wrote and directed the independent film Finder’s Fee.
Probst is an active supporter of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and The Serpentine Project. Probst has been ordained as a minister by the Universal Life Church and has twice won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program.
In 2001, Probst and his wife of five years divorced. In 2005, he was romantically linked to Julie Berry, a contestant from Survivor: Vanuatu.
